About Michael
Bio
My name is Mike Martinez, and I am a Class of 2028 student-athlete and point guard from Lakeland, Florida. Basketball has taught me discipline, leadership, perseverance, and how to continue working through challenges. My journey has allowed me to compete in Florida and Colorado, where I earned recognition from Prep Hoops as a ranked guard and player in the state, along with Exact All-American recognition through Team Spain. I am now continuing my basketball journey at home with the Lake Gibson Braves. My goal is to keep developing as a player, teammate, student-athlete, and leader while working toward opportunities to play at the next level. Traveling to Barcelona would give me the chance to experience international basketball, compete against new talent, learn from different coaches and players, and represent my family and community with pride.

Why This Matters
My name is Mike Martinez, and I am a Class of 2028 point guard from Lakeland, Florida. My basketball journey has taken me from Florida to Colorado and back home, giving me opportunities to compete against strong talent and grow as a player. While in Colorado, I earned recognition from Prep Hoops as a ranked guard and player in the state and received Exact All-American recognition through Team Spain. I am now continuing my journey with the Lake Gibson Braves. The opportunity to travel to Barcelona would allow me to experience international basketball, compete against new talent, and continue developing on and off the court. I am seeking sponsors who would like to become part of this journey and help with travel and participation expenses. I would be proud to recognize the businesses and community members who support me.
